Our goal is to increase the representation of women in public debates
Easy access to contacts
We are convinced that there are many more female experts in the fields of foreign policy, business, and sustainability than we currently see on panels, at conferences, or in the media. We want greater diversity in discussions and higher representation of women in the public sphere. The aim of our project is to make it easier for debate organizers and journalists to find female experts on foreign policy issues, while also encouraging women to present their expertise to the public.

380+ Female Experts
We bring together experts from academia, the private and the public sector with expertise in foreign policy, business, climate change, and other fields.
70+ Topics
Currently, experts in more than 70 subject areas are included in the Database.
Why we do it
To utilize the potential of the society as a whole
Although women make up more than a half of the society, their perspectives and expertise are not sufficiently represented in public debates. If we don’t allow women to participate and speak out on political and economic issues, we are wasting the potential of the society as a whole.
To have more voices in expert discussions
We want to encourage women to become more involved in professional discussions in their field and to speak out more in the public. We need more role models for girls so that they know that women's expertise is just as relevant as men's.
To show that women-experts exist
A common argument used by debate organizers is that "it just turned out that way," that there are no women in a given field or that it is too difficult to find female experts. But we want to show that there are many women-experts and make it easier to find them.
Who we are
Since March 2020, the database of female experts has been a project of the Association for International Affairs (AMO). AMO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1997. We are dedicated to research and education in the field of international relations.
- We publish studies and analyses;
- organize international conferences, expert seminars, round tables, and public discussions;
- organize educational projects for students, teachers, seniors, and experts;
- present critical opinions and commentary on current events to the media;
- create more favorable conditions for the growth of a new generation of experts;
- and promote interest in the discipline of international relations among the general public.
The database of female experts serves primarily as a directory of contacts for female experts in various fields. Unless otherwise stated, the individual experts are not members or collaborators of AMO, and their statements cannot be considered the position of the organization.

The Database was supported by the Embassy of Canada in the Czech Republic in 2022 and 2025.
