Jana Ciglerová and Jolana Humpálová shared their experiences with foreign journalism with members of the women network

How is the role of foreign journalists changing in the era of social media? What strategies are American journalists using to fight Donald Trump's restrictions on press freedom? And what is the state of the safety and freedom of journalists in Czechia?
These and other questions were discussed by members at the October meeting of the Network of Women in Czech Foreign, European, and Security Policy with Jana Ciglerová from Deník N and Jolana Humpálová from Voxpot. The meeting was held in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland at the residence of the Finnish Ambassador in Prague.
The speakers discussed the declining public trust in journalism and compared this phenomenon between the US and Europe. They also analyzed the concept of journalistic objectivity and whether it is still relevant today. In addition, they shared their experiences of reporting on specific events.
