What is the future of Czechia-Poland relations? Members of the women network discussed with Magdalena Jakubowska, Marta Prochwicz Jazowska, and Marta Szpala

How is Poland's approach to security and defense changing with the shifting geopolitical situation? What role do women play and could play in the country's defense? And what is the future of Central European cooperation?

These and other questions were discussed by members at the September meeting of the Women's Network in Czech Foreign, European, and Security Policy with Magdalena Jakubowska from Res Publica and Visegrad Insight, Marta Prochwicz Jazowska from the European Council on Foreign Relations, and Marta Szpala from the Centre for Eastern Studies Warsaw. The meeting took place at the Embassy of Poland in Prague.

The speakers discussed the need to increase Poland's civil preparedness and the importance of legitimate sources of information in crisis situations. They also discussed the transformation of Poland's relations with the US in light of the Trump presidency and USA’s shift in foreign relations.

The meeting was an accompanying event to the Conference on Czech Eastern Policy. The project was supported by the Czech-Polish Forum Grant Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
